We have been educating the people of the Outer Hebrides and students from all over Scotland for over fifty years, originally in the historic Lews Castle, now in brand new campuses, as a part of the UHI, Scotland's newest and most exciting higher education institute. Many of our courses have been developed for online delivery so that you can study them wherever you live. ILA Scotland
ILA Scotland is a Scottish Government scheme that helps you pay for learning that you can do at a time, place, pace and in a way to suit you. It’s for people who have an income of £22,000 a year or less, or who are on benefits. If you are 16 or over and living in Scotland, you could get up to £500 towards the cost of learning with a learner account from ILA Scotland. For further information please click here.
Access your college files from anywhere - 
The MyUHI remote desktop service provides a virtual desktop on any internet connected computer giving Lews Castle College students secure remote access to their college files and applications from anywhere using a standard web browser. Use applications such as Microsoft® Word, Excel & Powerpoint without installing them, even copy files from a home computer to college. You can also access internal college resources such as Library journals, SCRAN and email. For further information please click here.
