  MULTI-SYLLABLE WORDS

Generally if the stress in the word is on the first syllable, it is spelt as one word.
e.g

  • smaoineachadh
  • bànrigh

If the stress does not fall on the first syllable, the word is hyphenated.

  • cas-chrom
  • ban-diùc
