Words with unstressed suffixes should normally be written as one word

  • dhòmhsa
  • dhìse
  • dhasan
  • rudeigin
  • feareigin
  • air choreigin

exceptions are:

ris-san leis-san (to accommodate the double s)
latha-eigin tè-eigin (to separate the vowels)
