Our Admissions Policy
Lews Castle College welcomes applications from disabled people. Our methods of learning, teaching and assessment are flexible and designed to meet the needs of a wide range of individual students. By offering effective support, we aim to enable students with disabilities to participate fully in all activities while studying at Lews Castle College.
Should I disclose my disability?
Lews Castle College recognises that some applicants will require additional support or adaptations to existing provision. This may involve arranging personal support, acquiring special equipment, adapting premises or offering alterative approaches to teaching and assessment. It may also involve applying for financial support such as the Disabled Student Allowance. The sooner we can start making arrangements the better.
Services for disabled students include special arrangements for:
- Teaching and assessment
- Library and Learning Resources
- Specialist Equipment
Schemes for Equality
The College has Equality Schemes for Race, Disability and Gender. Those are available to students on request and in the policies section of the website.
