UHI Courses

Together, we provide university-level courses and research opportunities throughout the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.

Currently more than 5,500 students are studying or undertaking research with UHI. Each Academic Partner has its own distinctive character and strengths. This means that our students can share in the educational advantages of a larger institution while benefiting from the personal attention a smaller institution can give. UHI became a University in March 2011.

University of the Highlands & Islands is a partnership of 13 Colleges and research institutions:

Colleges: Argyll College, Inverness College, Lews Castle College, West Highland College, Moray College, North Highland College, Orkney College, Perth College and Shetland College.
Dedicated research institutes: Scottish Association for Marine Science and North Atlantic Fisheries College.
