Access to UHI Degree Studies (PESS)

This course will develop the skills and knowledge needed to: analyse personal strengths and areas for development in relation to university-level studies;

Access to Degree Studies

NC college classes and one evening class per week lectured by Aberdeen University staff using audio and video conferencing.

Access to Degree Studies (SWAP)

Based on Lews Castle College National Certificate programme of units and 2 subjects delivered by Aberdeen University. The aims of the course are to provide students with the opportunity to gain a qualification which is recognised in its own right and also gives school leavers and adult returners the opportunity to progress into Higher Education or to enter the employment market with a nationally recognised vocational qualification.

Access to Merchant Navy (NQ)

The UK shipping industry relies on recruiting highly motivated young people to operate and manage the wide range of ship types that trade on a world-wide basis. The purpose of this new training programme is to prepare young people for a career at sea by providing them with the necessary basic skills and qualifications required by ship operators in the UK.

Access 3: Skillstart

This course works towards a Scottish Group Award at Access 3 level. It includes core skills development, options from practical and work-related units, as well as carefully selected work placements.

Access 2: Skillstart

This course works towards a Scottish Group Award at Access 2 level.

Alpha

This course is designed to meet the individual needs of students who require additional support.
