ECDL is an internationally recognised qualification that enables people to demonstrate their competence in computer skills.

 

Entry Requirements

Some IT skills are essential.  The BCS Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Database qualiifications would be desirable.

Description

ECDL is an internationally recognised qualification that enables people to demonstrate their competence in computer skills.  The ECDL certificate indicates that the holder has passed one theoretical test and six practice based tests.  The ECDL Advanced qualification is designed to progress the computer skills benchmark from the ECDL to next level of competence.  It is modular and a certificate is awarded for successfully passing the test for each module.  ECDL Advanced Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database, and Presentation modules are currently available.

Candidates have access to tutor support at one 2-hour class per week.

Day classes  take place on Mondays 1400-1600 and Fridays 0900-1100 in Stornoway and in Castlebay on Thursdays 17.00 to 19.00

Evening classes take place on Tuesdays 18.00 to 20.00 in Stornoway.

Total Cost of course: £310 or £40 per module
