Entry Requirements

Normally one of the following: a group of relevant NQ modules totalling at least 12 credits including Communication Int 2; two relevant Higher Grade passes (including English); a relevant Scottish Group Award; relevant previous experience.

Applicants who have achieved competence at an appropriate level and in an appropriate range of skills through work experience will also be considered.

Mature applicants who do not meet the above entry requirements may be accepted on HN courses after an interview and individual guidance to ascertain their suitability for this level of course.

Description

This course will provide the skills needed to become an effective practitioner in Administration, Information Technology and Management.  It will develop your practical skills and expertise, including Presenting Business Information, effective database and word processing, management skills, managing finances and interpreting statistics.

Studying for the HND Administration and Information Technology will offer the skills needed to become an effective practitioner in Administration, Information Technology and Management.  This qualification is newly designed to meet the needs of the contemporary working environment and is available at Lews Castle College as a full-time one-year course or as a part-time course.

Candidates will study 21 mandatory units, and choose an additional 9 units from the options units offered.
