BEng (Hons) Energy Engineering

This new Energy Engineering degree deals with three major aspects of energy use: the technolgy of renewable energy devices: the built and natural environment; and building design.

Year 3 (BEng Energy Engineering)
At BEng level subjects include: engineering management; industrial project; mechanical engineering principles; electrical engineering principles and technology of renewable energy devices.

Year 4 (BEng (Hons) Energy Engineering)
At BEng (Hons) level subjects include: energy engineering project; advanced mechanical engineering principles; advanced electrical engineering principles; marine energy; and wind energy.

  • HND Engineering Systems.
  • HND Engineering: Mechanical.
  • Or other Engineering qualification in discussion with course leader.

Description

Renewables Garden - Aerial ViewYear 3 of the degree programme follows on from HND Engineering and is designed to develop skills in renewable energy systems and principles to a level appropriate to the industry. Some specialist HND units may have to be taken as a bridging element. The course consists of 3 specialist renewable energy modules along with 4 core traditional engineering principles modules and 1 option module.
