NC Fabrication and Welding Engineering

This course provides students with the opportunity to gain a nationally accredited award in Engineering. The course is made up of two major elements: SQA Units to satisfy the NC Fabrication & Welding Engineering qualification. Additional workshop based activities designed to broaden the range and increase the level of practical skills.

Description

This course provides students with the opportunity to gain a nationally accredited award in Engineering.  This programme provides desirable pre-apprenticeship training for people seeking an apprenticeship in Engineering. The course gives the student a broad range of practical skills and also an introduction to academic subjects relevant to Engineering.

Subjects studied include Fabrication Processes, Welding Processes, Manual Metal Arc Welding Skills,  Fabrication Skills, Thermal Cutting Skills, Thermal Joining Skills, MAGS Welding Skills.

Advanced Engineering Practice: Fabrication/Welding

HNC Engineering:
