Former hospitality student appointed Managing Director of top New York Hotel
Former Lews Castle College Food Management & Hospitality student Alistair Maclean has recently been appointed Managing Director of The Nomad Hotel, a luxury Hotel in New York City.
Alistair, originally from the Isle of Barra is married and living in downtown Manhattan. He is fluent in French and speaks conversational Spanish both of which he puts to good use.
Since completing a course at the college back in the 80s, Alistair has clocked up over 20 years experience working in the luxury hospitality industry and has worked in top class hotels such as the Ritz, Claridges, the Savoy, Berkeley in London and Hotel Le Yaca in St Tropez, Southern France to name but a few.
This is an excellent example of what commitment and hard work can bring. We wish Alistair continuing success and the best for the future.
