Description

The aim of the BA Business and Management course is to produce highly-motivated graduates with the skills, knowledge and abilities to progress to a wide range of employment contexts (management/administrative levels of employment in both the public and private sectors of the economy, self-employment) and further study opportunities.

The BA business and management aims to give you a broad-based understanding of all aspects of modern business, while allowing you to develop areas of particular interest to you. It will equip you with essential skills and a qualification in management that might lead either directly to a business career or on to further studies. At level 1 you will study the core disciplines underpinning the business process: management, statistics, the business environment, accountancy and the use of information technology (IT). You will investigate these topics in greater depth at level 2 and be encouraged to build your business-related specialisms. At level 3 you will examine current issues in the European and international business environments, and further develop your understanding of management including strategic management, people management and the management of change.
