This full time course is designed as a pre-apprenticeship course for candidates wishing to pursue a career in the construction industry.

Entry Requirements
Candidates will be interviewed prior to entry and will need to demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry. Consideration will be given to your present qualifications. It may be necessary to undertake academic development within the programme to prepare you for construction industry minimum qualifications.
Duration and Mode
1 Year full-time
Description
Candidates will learn a variety of skills in trade-specific units taught in a new purpose built training centre. In addition, they will develop skills and attitudes that enhance employability, not just in the construction industry, but in employment generally. Core skills relevant to the construction industry such as maths, ICT & communications will be included within the course programme.
In addition to being introduced to six vital construction trades, there may also be the opportunity of a work-placement where candidates can gain real-world experience of their future career path.
