Description

This course is suitable for anyone who has been appointed to conduct COSHH assessments in the workplace.

On successful completion participants will be able to:
Identify those substances covered by COSHH Regulations;
Identify other areas of their business where risk assessment may be required.

Course Content:
Implement the intentions of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the COSHH Regulations 2002 and other related regulations;
Define "hazardous substances", "hazard", "risk exposure" and "control";
Identify hazardous substances;
Design and manage a suitable control and emergency system;
Design and manage a suitable recording system for assessments and procedures;
Design the staff training and supervision that would be needed;
Create a personal action plan.
