RYA Powerboat - Advanced Level
This is a progression from Level 2, introducing pilotage, using both traditional and electronic navigational and boat handling techniques for planing boats on coastal waters by day and by night.

Minimum age 17. Candidates should be competent to the standard of National Powerboat Certificate Level 2 with a knowledge of navigation and chartwork to the level of Day Skipper Shorebased certificate.

Venue: Sea sites in Stornoway and Loch Roag, Loch Carnan or Petersport and Castlebay/Vatersay Causeway.
This is a progression from Level 2, introducing pilotage, using both traditional and electronic navigational and boat handling techniques for planing boats on coastal waters by day and by night.
On completion of this course you will be able to plan and execute coastal trips including return to a familiar port by night.
