Always try to:

Research your topic well

Rely on unplanned ideas

Know your purpose

Be unsure about what you are doing and why you are doing it

Know your audience

Appeal to your audience

Familiarise yourself with the environment

Assume it is ok for your purpose

Plan what you have to say in advance

Be disorganised

Make it interesting

Be dull

Watch your body language

Fiddle/fidget/look bored

Keep eye contact

Look at the ground or mumble to your notes

Watch your language - choose your words

Use slang or inappropriate/offensive words

Use memory aids

Bog yourself down with paper and notes

Use relevant facts

Stray off the point

Use unbiased opinions

Be opinionated and biased

Back up any statements or opinions

Forget who said it and why

Keep it simple

Make it complicated and incomprehensible

Have a dialogue with your audience

Make it a monologue and do all the talking

Use visual aids/illustrations where appropriate.

Rely on speech alone
