Graduate Rab is a UHI success story
Former plumber Robert "Rab" Lees fulfilled an ambition to gain a degree when he was in his 40s. Now, as area manager for a green energy advisory organisation, he has become joint winner of the first alumnus of the year award from the prospective University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI).
Austrian Student in Uist wins Gaelic Prize
Romana Brunner, a student at Lews Castle College Benbecula, is getting the chance to spend a week at one of Sabhal Mòr Ostaig's fabulous short-courses this summer. She has recently been declared the winner for this year's Most Improved Gaelic prize.
