New Course: Introduction to Construction Trades
This new full time course is designed as a pre-apprenticeship course for candidates wishing to pursue a career in the construction industry.
Covering both practical & theoretical aspects of six important construction trades. The course will introduce candidates to each trade and provide a valuable insight to each, allowing candidates to make an informed choice about their future career path.
Candidates will learn a variety of skills in trade-specific units taught in a new purpose built training centre. In addition, they will develop skills and attitudes that enhance employability, not just in the construction industry, but in employment generally. Core skills relevant to the construction industry such as maths, ICT & communications will be included within the course programme.
In addition to being introduced to six vital construction trades, there may also be the opportunity of a work-placement where candidates can gain real-world experience of their future career path.
