- Physics and Meteorology (for the Access to Merchant Navy course
- An evening class "Understanding the Weather"
Research:
I currently contributing towards the following funded research projects:
- SASKA ("Search for an Astronomical Site in Kenya")
- OCTES ("Opportunities for Community groups Through Energy Storage"), which is a new European Union Framework 7 Northern Periphery Project, involving partners from Scotland, Northern Ireland, Finland and Iceland.

- The Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST), site testing and climate variability astudy (2005)
- Canadian pressure observations and circulation variability: links to air temperature, Environment Canada, Downsview, Ontario (2000-2002)
- The Canadian Cryosphere Information Network and the State of the Canadian Cryosphere projects
- The ground heat flux of a bog in the northern Netherlands
- The urban heat island of Dublin city during the summer months
- Climate, weather and health in the Western Isles
project (2009-2010).
