What is special about this course?
The programme provides knowledge, understanding and skills in a range of engineering studies including Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics disciplines. The award is a vocational qualification designed to prepare the candidate for employment, career development and progression to higher level study.
A minimum of National 5 (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and Science
- Relevant industrial experience and training.
NC Engineering Units at SCQF level 6, which include:
Mechanical Engineering Principles
Computer Aided Draughting
Pneumatics and Hydraulics
Plus additional Turning, Milling and Bench-fitting practical skills

Teaching will include face to face, classroom, laboratory and workshop based delivery.

Most full-time students will have their fees paid.
Students on part-time courses may also be eligible to have their course fees waived.
