This one-day course is aimed at anyone interested in considering generating electricity from Solar Panels (PV)

Entry requirements

Anyone who is interested in the technical aspects of PV’s either as a starter or as an existing PV user who wants to know more.

By the end of this Course participants will have an understanding of:

The theory of operation of a solar cell.

How solar cells are arranged in ladders and modules.

Harvesting the power efficiently:  PWM vs MPPT.

Tie Grid versus Stand alone.

What is the best way of utilising the Solar Energy? Pay in tariff or power diversion?

Safety aspects.
