What our students, graduates and staff say
After gaining the NC award, I was accepted on to the SVQ Level II course (Performing Engineering Operations) and absolutely loved attending college. This course was more challenging as students are given more responsibility for their learning by completing a portfolio of all practical projects and questions for each unit. As part of the engineering department mentoring programme, our class helped the new NC class in the workshop which I really enjoyed.
SVQ Level II (Performing Engineering Operations) is a nationally accredited award, it gives students the opportunity to develop and broaden their practical engineering and core skills while gaining mandatory elements of a Modern Apprenticeship.
