What is special about this course?

SVQ Level 3 is an Electrical Apprenticeship course. Skills learned will be both practical and theoretical, spanning three years and is fully backed by the Scottish Electrical Charitable Training Trust.

Entry requirements

Selection is made by the Scottish Electrical Charitable Training Trust

Subjects covered include: health and safety, wiring systems, wiring enclosures, installation regulations, cable selection, motors, Electrical Installation projects, assessment of safe working practices, safe isolation, inspection, testing and commissioning of electrical installations

How will I study my course?

  • Block release

Candidates are selected by the Scottish Electrical Charitable Trust onto an Apprenticeship programme

Full year work placement with 18 weeks at college in year 1, 12 weeks in year 2 and one week in year 3.

Most full-time students will have their fees paid.

Students on part-time courses may also be eligible to have their course fees waived.
