Covid Update for Students and Staff

Please be aware this is a fast changing situation, if you have any queries please speak to your PAT or Line Manager.

  • Staff and students should return to work and study on the planned dates:
    • Staff return from 5th January
    • Students return from 7th January
  • FE and HN classes will be delivered fully online until w/b 18th January (Course tutors will be in touch with details of changed arrangements for practical-based courses)
    • Construction and Electrical Apprentice classes will be delivered on-campus classes from w/b 11th January
    • Online library services will be fully available and a estricted 2-hour daily click and collect service available on campus w/b 11th January – details of times to be advised
    • Access to student support services will be fully available
  • The campus will be closed to staff until w/b 11th January and working from home will be the default position except for:
    • Teaching staff requiring access to campus to prepare for classes starting from the 18th Jan
    • Support staff unable to carry out their work fully from home
  • The campus will be operating on an emergency staffing basis from 5th-11th January on the following basis. Details have been emailed to staff
  • An Cotan nursery will operate as normal and to the planned dates
  • Your line manager or PAT will contact you immediate prior to the 5th with further details.


  • If a student requires a Covid test while the College is closed, please access a test through the national system by going through NHS Inform, calling the booking number on 0800 028 2816, or calling the helplines number on 0300 303 2713 if they experience issues with the booking system
