Director of Finance and Resources

Salary range £61,032 plus £2,265 Islands Allowance (pro rata) per annum

Located in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland, Lews Castle College UHI is part of the University of the Highlands and Islands, delivering further and higher education, skills and training to learners across the Outer Hebrides and attracting students from the rest of the UK, Europe and beyond. 

This is an exciting time for the College as it embarks on a programme of organisational change and development, and we are seeking to recruit a Director of Finance and Resources who will play a pivotal role in taking this forward.

Reporting to and working closely with the Principal, the Director of Finance and Resources will contribute to the executive leadership and management of the College with specific responsibility for leading and managing the corporate functions of the organisation.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of successful leadership, management and organisational development, strong stakeholder engagement and achievement of targets and plans.  Key to the post are strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills as well as the ability to lead and work as part of a team.

You will find the multi-dimensional nature of this post stretching at times, but this will be within the capabilities of an experienced, enthusiastic, committed and successful existing senior manager working in a corporate role.

In addition to this permanent part-time post there may be the possibility for additional hours up to 1 FTE to work on a finance and estates related project for a period of up to 23 months should the successful candidate be interested.
