Part-time Lecturer in Professional Cookery

Salary range £36,435 - £44,622 (pro rata includes Islands Allowance)

Applications are invited for the above post, located at our main campus in Stornoway.

The successful applicant will teach within the Professional Cookery and Hospitality department.  A key focus of activity will be based around the support of students and development of content for the student groups at in Professional Cookery at Levels 4 and 5 progressing NPA awards.  Further emerging opportunities relate to the support of apprenticeships in the food and drink sector through the department.

Applicants should be educated to HNC/D level in Professional Cookery or in a related subject and must have recent industy experience.  The ability to inspire through teaching and performance is essential as well as having excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Previous experience in curriculum development would be an advantage as well as possessing a recognised assessor award for internal and external verification purposes.
