Project Assistant (22 week part-time fixed term post)

The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out initial desk-based assessment research on existing archaeological resources in Shetland and historic and on-going research projects within the region. The successful applicant will work closely with project partners at Shetland Amenity Trust. Applicants must be educated up to degree level in archaeology or a related discipline and have excellent research and analytical skills. Knowledge and understanding of archaeological research in Shetland is essential, as is experience of working in archaeology/heritage sectors and community groups.
