  • Course summary: This course will study the place names of Scotland, exploring the different languages used to describe our landscape, and what they tell us about history as well as geography. 
  • Content – module breakdown: Placenames of Scotland, looking at Norse, Gaelic, Brythonic, and English names and what they tell us about the landscape and the people who lived there.
