The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework
The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) promotes lifelong learning in Scotland.
Through the Framework you can gain a better understanding of qualifications in Scotland and plan your future learning.
The SCQF has 12 levels. The different levels indicate the level of difficulty of a particular qualification. They cover qualifications from school, college, university and work-based. Qualifications also have credit points that show how much learning is involved in achieving the qualification. The SCQF works on the basis that one credit equals 10 hours of learning.
